Fels-Naptha
Advertising Paper Dolls
From Junior Home Magazine, 1927-28
We love finding paper dolls in advertising and other unexpected forms, and these black and white images fit the bill. From Junior Home Magazine full page ads we have these four black and white paper doll advertising pages; Oct. 1927, Nov. 1927, Jan. 1928, and March 1928. Each has a child/doll with dirty clothes, and a clean outfit-washed in Fels-Naptha Soap- as the paper doll costume.
Each has a little story about how the child got his or her clothes soiled...and how happy they were when Mom got them clean with Fels-Naptha. The children's names are Marjorie, Betty, Teddy, and Helen
The original pages were large, about 10" x 15", and our restored versions are each 8.5" x 11", printed on archival 32# satin-finished paper, and stored in an archival crystal clear seal-top bag.
