Magical Art of Coles Phillips
One of my favorite illustrators is here on three pages for your craft projects. Mr. Phillips was at one time, America's highest paid illustrator, as popular as film stars of today. His artwork was in high demand for covers and for advertising art.
He developed the hugely popular "Fade-Away" art style where the body of the art matched the color of the background, while the only defining features were faces, arms & legs, and trims & patterns on the figures. There are several samples of this style on these pages.
These selections are from about 1911 to 1920, from both covers and advertising art. Use for art reference, paper crafting; scrapbooking, card-making, trading cards, collage etc.
Three archival 8.5" x 11" pages laser printed on 32# papers. Will hold up to glazes, glues and art mediums. 20 images of various sizes. Stored in a crystal clear seal-top bag.
Orders to the U.S. $90 and over are FREE SHIPPING.
