These dolls can keep you busy designing for a long time. Sprightly painting by Van Sweringen, these dolls are from the cover of the 1941 book called Modern Miss Paper Dolls.
Design Ideas:
If you are not a draw-er, you can make clothes from catalogues, pattern books, and fashion magazines. You can make a basic outline of one of those outfits you find that fits the doll of your choice, and trace around that onto a patterned/print paper. Then you can glue on trims of lace, buttons, ribbons, feathers, sequins and so on.....
