BUSY TEENS of 1959
Restored Lowe Book from FMN Publishing
This is a variation of 1958, "Junior Misses." Same dolls, same clothes, slightly different cover. Another variation using the same clothes and three redrawn dolls was "Archie's Girls." What a difference in teens of 1959 and today...in the way they dress, most obvious in these clothes. Boys wear jackets and ties for dates, and gals wear dresses and stockings. Girls were not allowed to wear slacks to school...not even on the snowiest, stormiest of days. I remember! Nobody looks sloppy even for casual play. One thing todays kids have in common with those in the 50s...they love to talk on the telephone...booth not required.
Here are our 4 tidy teens with eight pages of clothes for school, play, proms and dates. Good looking kids and nicely painted clothes.
Four dolls on 80# cardstock, and 8 costume pages on 32# satin finished paper. Slightly reduced from original size. All archival materials- won't fade or brown with age. Top grade, satin finished papers. Stored in crystal clear Mylar seal-top bag. Restoration is copyrighted, 2009, Forget-Me-not Publishing.
