Cute 1950s Greetings Images
I love the darling images from 1950s greeting cards, and have scanned a bunch from my mom's scrapbooks of my childhood. What to do with them? Hmmmm, how about bookplates? I paired the images with checkered patterns at the base, and a little canopy at the top, with the words, in a child-like font; "This Book Belongs To:"
Nice to paste into your own books, or to help a child paste into their's, giving them a sense of ownership and pride in their books. I think anything that helps a child appreciate their books is a benefit...to help them learn to love books and to go back and read them again and again.
It could be handy for you to keep some of these on hand for when you give a book as a gift. There's room for the name of the recipient of the book, and for adding who has gifted the book.
There are six full color plates on one 8.5" x 11" archival 80# cardstock page.
