MEN AS PAPER DOLLS in VINTAGE MAGAZINES
1940 Whiskey Ad, and 1956 Article
Printed on Archival 80# cardstock
What a hoot it is to find paper dolls in unexpected places! And of MEN to boot! Here I have paired two pages from my mother's collection:
1. Paul Jones Whiskey Advertisement (Colliers, June 8, 1940) This was originally formatted as a long half-page ad, but to make the images as large as possible, I rearranged them to an 8.5" x 11" horizontal format.
2. Illustration for an article in Oct. 1956 Women's Home Companion, teaching women how to dress their husbands
Two pages on 8.5" x 11" 80# Coverstock archival papers. Stored in a crystal clear seal-top bag.
