1880s - 90s Art by Adolphe William Bouguereau
One page of Four Cut-and-Use Bookmarks
Laser Printed on 80# Cardstock
Bougeureau is one of those painters whose work is seen and loved by many, but his name is not so familiar. I love his realistic yet romantic style. He painted cherubs, angels, Madonnas, women and children.
William-Adolphe Bouguereau (Nov 30, 1825 - Aug 19, 1905) was a French academic painter. He was a staunch traditionalist whose realistic genre paintings and mythological themes were modern interpretations of Classical subjects with a heavy emphasis on the female human body. Although he created an idealized world, his almost photo-realistic style was popular with rich art patrons. He was very famous in his time.
Each bookmark has a beautiful image of a child, and an uplifting quotation. The actual titles of the paintings are noted at the bottom of each bookmark:
Storybook; Infant John the Baptist; Chilly Girl; and Girl Braiding a Crown of Flowers.
One 80# Cardstock page of archival 8.5" x 11" laser printed, for you to cut and use, or enhance with tassels or personalization. Comes in a crystal clear seal-top bag.
