PD series from
New York World News "FUN" Sunday Supplement
August 1912-March 1913
Printed by Forget-Me-Not Publishing
What a fun find this was! 10 full page, full color, paper doll play pages by the same artist, featuring "Miss" so-and-so each time. And what forward thinking young ladies they are; they play ice hockey, tennis, work-out, ride horses, and of course wear the latest in fashion. Judy has restored them to lovely colors as the newsprint was pretty rough with off-set printing and had gotten very darkened over the last 90-some years.
We have used an attractive Valentine's day cover of the paper from 1913, though it really doesn't have anything to do with the paper doll series...but it's pretty and is the right time and the right newspaper...so it fits. On the back cover is a fun "kaleidoscoped" design of the Hocky Girl doll.
NOTICE: This is a stapled BOOK. We are delighted to present this "perfect bound" (stapled) book from Forget-me-Not Publishing (FMN). These are 11”x17" pages printed in permanent laser colors, on top grade papers, folded and stapled to a finished size of 8.5x11. Costume pages are on Bright white archival 32# laser paper. Covers are on archival 80# laser paper. These papers are a dream to cut...nice clean edges, no popping of inks, very smooth and fun to handle. We slip the book into a crystal clear archival protective Mylar sleeve to keep it nice and clean.
